There's just this one thing that I believe is IMPOSSIBLE to do....."aayiram sooryane pidichadakkaan kazhinjaalum oraalde vaa moodi kettaan pattulla"....angane entho oru chollille...?
but there's also the saying that..."where there's a will, there's a way"....and that’s what I like to believe so that I can make the ‘impossible’ - POSSIBLE
Puthiyathaayittu oru joli thudangi or puthiya oru sthalathekku thaamasam maari….avide oru malayaliye kandu parichayappettu..and as the stereotype goes…and even as a joke…malayali-kolayali-paara…all these go hand in hand as time goes on UNLESS there’s an “open-ness and a sense of one-ness”
And the main one of these ‘paaras’ we come across are ‘paradooshanams’ or mattullavare kurichu dushichu parayunna swabhaavam..or gossiping to make it simple J
I'm sure it is something everyone has come across at some point in their life either by being a part of it or by just watching or hearing it pass by...
Age old saying of people who got ‘yellow-fever’ seeing everything ‘yellow’….It’s as simple as that….but instead of not giving into hearing one or taking part in one…the “conversation” goes on and on....from one mouth to the other....
it's everywhere...at your home, work place, between friends, family, relatives..EVERYWHERE! ....and more than often, many of us take part in it "as long as it doesn't affect me or anyone i care about"
just about everyone HATES these gossips……....yet...it never dies out.........
So what can we do about it? You tell ME and the world if you want to ‘step up with me’.
Luv & Regards,
Renjina

......."You totally lost me girl! I do not like to be part of these groups. If there is something nice to say about someone say it, if not you need to keep your mouth shut! This is what advice I go by and live by and teach my kids to live by!".............
ReplyDelete......."I am so much with you on this one :).".............

If we feel that it is a gossip, just listen, don't comment and keep it to your self."............

.......... The saying is ' Ayiram Kudathinte Navu adachu kettam. Pashe oru manushante vaya adachu kettan patilla ' Ennanu... What you said is very true . I think GOSSIP is just a MALLU item. I had a lot of north indian friends ,I never heard anyone gossiping. They just have fun. They party & its not like our usual mallu parties where Guys just sit in one corner and have drinks ,play cards and ladies sit in another corner ,hey what else to do GOSSIP !!!........
ReplyDeleteYes Renju, I know our people even will fly international to get details of any body. But what they dont understand is when they do that, what they are loosing is their self respect. When I see that kind of a person, I dont have the real respect I had to him before... And once they start speaking about someone to you, BEWARE !!! May be the next victim is YOU !!!!
Another thing you pointed out ''WOMEN' Yes.. I havent heard people talking much about men... Usual targets Single or divorced women.. Like you said ,something those people trying to erase from their memory, these people just rub it in !!! But they dont know that it can happen to them or their beloved ,TOMORROW !!! ellam kandu mokalil oru aaalu undeey !!!!
If a girl talks too much or be social- there it goes..........
Hello,
ReplyDeleteWe haven't heard from you lately...though i'd stop by and give u some encouragement, if its motivation that u r lacking :)...
if its family and job that keeping u bz, we totally understand. i know kidz can be a bundle of joy and simply more than a handful @tst.
one can never invest too much time with kidz!
but if its something else thats keeping u away from discussing ur thoughts, jst want u to kno, many of us value ur thoughts and looking forward to them. any discouragement, u gotta bring out ur 'tough mom' instinct and say 'scew u all, i do it my way' :)
enjoy the good weather....while it last
